Three Different Methods to Remove Skin Tags

Skin Tags

Skin tags are usually a few millimetres in size, although can be as big as 5cm. They are usually found on the neck, in the armpits, around the groin or under the breasts. They can also grow on the eyelids or under the folds of the buttocks.  These are harmless and do not usually cause pain or discomfort.

Three Different Methods to Remove Skin Tags

It is essential that you check with a doctor prior to trying any skin tag removal home remedy. Some of the techniques like chopping the skin tags or even tying tightly using a thread may cause infection along with bleeding. So, make sure you consult a doctor for identifying if you are really having tags on your skin.
For the removal of skin tags you may select any of the following methods:
1)      CUTTING: Do this with professional help.  The physician will use a sharp knife or device to remove your tag. It may cause a smaller scar, if your skin tag is actually on your neck or the face, then this method of removing tags will not be suitable for you.
2)      LAZER SURGERY: Laser light surgical treatment is the harder and expensive solution to removing tags, but it provides minimal scarring and damage to the skin. A small laser light is used as a tag remover. It can cause a little bit of swelling and also burning, but this can be treated easily with some antibiotic cream.
3)      FREEZING: In this method of tag removing, Liquid Nitrogen is used in order to freeze the particular tag. It is the just like the very cold procedure to get rid of a wart. It may a slight painful, but is fairly painless. This is a commonly used skin tag remover process.

In most of the cases, skin tags will turn into a scab and fall off on their own. However, some people prefer to have them removed, either for cosmetic reasons or because the tags may rub against clothing or otherwise are bothersome. There are over-the-counter preparations designed to remove tags, moles, warts and the like. After getting proper medical advice, you can use any of the methods described above for the removal of the tags.
